Sewer connections

If you're looking to make a new sewer connection, you'll need Wessex Water's consent before connecting to a public sewer.

If your proposed connection requires a new sewer to be laid within a public highway, you should contact the relevant Highway Authority before starting work.

  • Some Highway Authorities may require a newly laid sewer within the highway to be adopted by Wessex Water before they will permit the works to proceed. If this applies, you may need to enter into a sewer adoption agreement with us before making your connection.
